Google's Newest Data Center [Pics] →
Massive air-cooling systems rise above two data center buildings, which are so close to The Dalles’ dam you can almost hear the water roar. An industrial-strength power grid connects the dam to Google’s energy-sucking, heat-spewing Linux servers.

Too much technology?
So I picked up my new ‘08 TSX this past Monday night, and my first impression was that for the first time in my life, I felt overwhelmed with the amount of technology in a car. When I was at the dealership, they walked me through the features, and I thought I was absorbing it all fine. But when I whipped out of the dealership on my way to the north shore, I started to play around with...
New Whip (Part 2)
The search is over :) I didn’t get the Acura TL - it was too much money with my trade in and I couldn’t swing it… but I got the 08 Acura TSX instead. I am picking it up on Monday from Acura of Boston. This was the best car buying experience and the worse at the same time. Dealing with the folks at Acura of Boston was the best experience. Dealing with some of the other...

Esther Dyson was on Charlie Rose today, and I was intrigued with her broad knowledge base, so I read her profile on WP.. Interesting read.
New Whip's
I have the new car bug again. After my car was broken into, I realized that having a portable GPS, while very convenient, isn’t the best approach. Not to mention the fact that I have been wanting to get a new car since soon after I got my existing one. I’ve only barely had it for 2 years now, and I’m already sick of it. So… my choices are: #1 - Acura TL #2 - Acura TSX...
Soul of India →
I think my dad is an excellent photographer. He took thousands of pictures on his most recent trip to Rajasthan, India. I have many favorites, but I think I like the ones with peoples expressions the most. It is such a beautiful country with such a sense of timelessness. I can’t wait to go and visit every time I see these pictures.

What's next for the AppleTV? →
How long can Apple’s set-top-box remain Steve Jobs’ hobby? Here’s a list of what’s missing, and where the AppleTV might be heading. “I get the feeling that Apple has not unleashed the full potential of the AppleTV because its ecosystem, like the one developed for the iPod, isn’t fully in place.”
It's like it never was
This weekend never really happened! I remember part of Saturday morning when I was out playing golf in Salem, but I don’t remember much of the rest of the day. I think I wrote like 600 lines of code later in the day, and had a couple of glasses of Cragganmore (my 15 year is almost empty), but other than that, it’s like the weekend never happened. I’m thinking of growing a...

Hackers Extract Main Key to iPhone Unlocking,... →
After uncovering the secrets of the iPhone’s communications core, the iPhone Dev Team has achieved the next big milestone to free the iPhone from the AT&T network: they have extracted the full content of the S-Gold2 chip’s NOR memory. Bluntly put, these are the plans for the fucking Death Star and “is the main key to achieve true unlocking.”
On to the greens
T-Time is 12:40 Tomorrow morning. I haven’t golfed in like a year, and I’m super rusty - like I was every any good :) Meeting up with Leo and Paul… Couldn’t get any women to come join us :( I thought about hitting the driving range for a few today, before I head to the greens tomorrow, but opted for a cold Guinness at an Irish pub instead. And what a smart idea that was....

Women on motorcycles
There is something about women riding motorcycles. I was heading north on 95 today on my way home from work, and these two motorcycles flew past me, one on each side. My first reaction was to throw the finger at them. Then I saw that they were both women, with tight shorts on sports bikes. Wow. It was quite a sight. thank god for the traffic jam up ahead. I got to stare for a few before...

My goal was to try and reverse the negative programming we all have towards reading self-submitted material. But this is not spamming.” dmiesler.com entry here
