I just signed up for an account to check out Adobe’s new Office product(s).  These include:Adobe Buzzword - Their word processing tool (pressy slick I might add)Adobe ConnectNow - Desktop Sharing (WebEx like) toolCreatePDF - Well, PDF generator tooShare - A document collaboration portalMyFiles - Online Storage for your documents. What does this all mean?  I say that Adobe is fast becoming a major software company and they are doing it right.  It’s not like they are a start-up.  I mean the company has been around for a long time and well recognized as a desktop publishing company.  Their acquisition of Macromedia put them in a very good position with properties like Flash, which has quickly become an integral part of our web browsing experience.  Adobe Flex and Air - well the jury is still out on them, but there is a lot of movement with these properties lately.  While I think ColdFusion died before its time, the technology is still alive beneath the covers.  So what i’m getting at is the fact that Adobe is going to be a very relevant player in the consumer software arena with targeted products and a whole host of properties and assets that they are capatilizing on.  These latest sets of products are just a preview of things to come.  You heard it here first folks!
